What an awesome end to our last 9-week cycle! We had tons of PRs, and lots of growth and improvement all around. You all should be very proud of the progress that you have made. This week we will be seeing some movements that we haven’t seen in a while—back squats, deadlifts, and BENCH PRESS! We also round out the week with a very special Veteran’s Day Hero WOD, which also happens to be a personal favorite of mine.
Speaking of Veteran’s Day, we will be on a holiday schedule this Friday with classes only at 8 and 9! Keep an eye out for posts on Facebook, there may be a coach or two going in early if you can’t make it to either of the class times.
Also, just a heads up that the gym will be closed in the morning/afternoon during breaks between classes. That means that there will be no Open Gym 10:30-12:30 and 1:30-3:30 most days. Unfortunately, I have new demands on my time and will not be present as often as I normally am. But I am trying to bounce around to different classes each week, so hopefully I will run into each of you in turn!
Don’t forget to sign up for the Holiday Throwdown on December 3rd! It is a same-sex partner competition to raise money for the Brisben Center this holiday season. RX, Scaled, and Masters Divisions!! If you need a partner please let me know and I will link you up with someone. You can even bring in a partner from another gym! All are welcome! Teens are welcome to participate as well.
This Thursday we have a very special seminar for those of you who are pregnant, were pregnant, who plan to get pregnant at some point, or who coach pregnant athletes. You’ll receive vital information from a female coach who has lived through it and who is also currently experiencing it! Seminar starts at 5!
