Hello friends!! I hope that everyone is feeling joyful and festive in anticipation of the upcoming holiday this week. We have a shortened training week ahead of us, but it will be challenging nonetheless!
This week has a good variety of workouts, including a LONG grueling one on Christmas Eve known as the “CrossFit 12 Days of Christmas.” If you’ve never done it before, you definitely don’t want to miss it. There are still a few spots left for class that day, so make sure you reserve soon! There is also a workout programmed for Christmas Day that you can do at home, should you feel the need to burn off a few of those well-deserved holiday calories.
During this busy season it is easy to get swept up in the hustle and bustle of the holiday, and to be distracted from what it truly should mean. Let’s not forget that there are some who do not have family, home, and the other comforts that we take for granted every single day. We are blessed to have our friends and families, and a place like Forward to be an extension of what we call home. I pray that in the coming year it will remain a “happy place” for all of you, and for every person that walks through our doors. We are a family, and I am thankful for every single one of you. I hope you have a Merry Christmas, or whatever it is that you celebrate.
