This is our first full week of September, and it looks like the weather might just be starting to cool off as we ease our way into Autumn (still a few weeks away, I know, but a girl can dream). Perfect weather for getting outside to RUN! I know that we have our new Assault Runner toy in the gym, but now would be the perfect time for some outdoor conditioning. Maybe start training for your first 5k or half Marathon? Several of us are training for the Army 10 Miler which is virtual this year. That would be a great place to start!
This week does incorporate some running in the WODs, and SEVERAL of the WODs this week are around (or exceed) 30 minutes in duration. It’s going to be a real test of stamina most days! For all you strength lovers out there, we will still see a lot of barbell movements so no need to panic. We’ve got some heavy deadlifts this week, and clusters make a reappearance on Friday for a special memorial WOD in remembrance of 9/11. Saturday’s WOD will see the best of both worlds, so make sure you’re planning on starting your weekend at Forward!
